early 2025-2026 invoiced and received 2nd week 2026 CF Martin Custom Shop Super D Satin finish D-35 appointments with 3 piece hand selected Wild Grain Rosewood back No pickguard 1 or 2 ordered with these unique specs
The CF Martin Super D is a dreadnought that goes to 11, a slightly inflated body. A standard Martin Dreadnought is 15.5 " wide at the lower bought, the SUPER D is 16 7/16" wide at lower bout so almost a whole inch wider. The SUPER D had a bigger fatter fuller sound and the difference is very noticeable . I have been fascinated by the idea of the SUPER D but have never had one in my hands until I received this guitar and I am very please with it. This guitar is one of 2 guitars I ordered with these specs and they are unique from any other SUPER D guitars made. Thin satin finish and no pickguard allow the body to vibrate more freely. I personally picked out the wood set for this as my store is a 1 hour drive from the Martin factory and I can drive up to do special orders Neck Material: Select Hardwood Neck Profile: Super D Neck Taper: High Performance Taper Tuning Machines: Grover Nickel V97-18NA StaTite 18:1 Vintage Buttons Fingerboard Material: Black Ebony Fingerboard Inlay: Style 28 Finish package: Satin Body w/ Satin Neck Akzo Satin Lacquer Body Shape: Super Dreadnought Inspired by: Super Dreadnought - 28 Style Appointment Level: Standard Base Model Note: Wood selected by D-Town Guitars Wild Grain EIR #6 & 19 Adhesive: Modern Adhesive Scale Length: 25.4" Compensated Scale Length: 25.470" Neck Joint: Dovetail Final Top Grade: Spruce Grade 4 Custom Shop Top Thickness: Standard Soundhole Size: 4.106” – 4.114” Bracing Material, Top: Spruce Bracing Pattern, Top: X Brace Bracing Pattern Number, Top: 3-D Super D Bracing Shape, Top: Scalloped Bracing Style, Top: Golden Era Bracing Size, Top: 5/16'' Headplate Inlay: Alternate Torch Headplate Inlay Pearl Species: Select Abalone Fingerboard Radius: 16'' Fingerboard Width at Nut: 1 3/4" Fingerboard Width at 12th Fret: 2 1/8" String Spacing: 2 5/32'' Fingerboard Length: 17.984'' Fingerboard Thickness: Standard Thickness Fret Wire: Standard Case: Deluxe Super D Case
