This is a rare Gibson Custom Shop Jimi Hendrix Psychedelic Hand-Painted Flying V! A recreation of the original 1967 V that Jimi emblazoned with his own personal artwork using whatever materials he could find, mainly nail polish! He would use this V on slow Blues numbers, usually "Red House," but it eventually found its way into the hands of Mick Cox of Eir Apparent, who quickly stripped the original artwork off to make it his own guitar.

In 2006, the Gibson Custom Shop decided to reissue the iconic Psychedelic V, with 300 limited instruments being hand painted by master luthier Bruce Kunkel. (#142)The certificate of authenticity and a vintage replica strap and papers are included.
